The Artist

Ariel Williams Artist

Ariel Williams is an oil painter and art educator, her passion for art runs deep. Since childhood she always had a love for art. Her art focuses on her roots and confronting her greatest insecurities. Many of her works are a visual account of her experiences battling chronic illness, emotional well being, and body issues. Each piece she creates becomes a self portrait exposing what is hidden underneath. Ariel is an artist from central New Jersey, who has shown her pieces around the tristate area. She is looking to continue to grow and share her work with the world around her.

My Work

These soft surrealist paintings probe the intimate and often unspoken aspects of human experience, weaving a visual language that confronts body image, identity, and emotional consumption. Through delicate yet unsettling juxtapositions such as edible imagery intertwined with human emotions these pieces explore the tension between desire and vulnerability, self-preservation and indulgence. Each composition carries a narrative weight, portraying the psychological landscapes, and self reflections examining the conflicting ways people relate to their own bodies and emotions. I invite you to confront your own perceptions of self, society, and the consumption of emotion both literal and metaphorical.
